Rome: Trastevere Restaurant

After seeing The Vatican for the first time (myself) we decided to venture into Trastevere, a part of Rome that is inhabited by almost all locals and is not as ventured by the average tourist. We are so glad we took this detour as we ended up at a great restaurant, located on a cool side street, for an al fresco lunch. I would highly suggest visiting All Arco Di S. Calisto when you are in Rome! Also, make sure to take the time and walk back to the central part of Rome over the bridge, it is a truly different part of Rome!

charcoal grill inside – I’d love one of these

spaghetti with parmesan, bacon, and black pepper – to die for!

we took the long way home to work off all of that food!

Venturing into new places is one of my favourite parts of traveling. The places you find off the beaten path are often worth the journey.
